The ABCs of Salvation
The ABC's of Salvation are a fantastic way to reinforce basic alphabet skills, as well as learn about living a faithful life. Use the ABC's as a discussion starter and base an activity around each word. One option is to focus on one letter a day for 26 days, either in daily discussion or with flash cards. Make sure to activate the interaction by using The Beginner's Bible to read further into the passages provided with each word to add context to the provided message.
If you are working with slightly older kids—especially in a group setting—try having selected students act out each word. Dramas are a fun way for kids to internalize a lesson. Once the group has learned all 26 words, you can take things a step further by playing charades; kids have to choose from the 26 words they have studied to fit the actor's clues.
